In a research study released by LinkedIn through their network of over 660+ million professionals and 20+ million jobs, Digital Marketing skills (such as affiliate marketing) have emerged as the “Hard Skills Companies Need Most in 2020”.

With the exponential growth of digital adoption by businesses and organizations all over the world, it’s not hard to see why that is the case. Exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, digital skills have become more essential (and in-demand) than ever.

To help the community and workforce stay more globally relevant, we have brought together some of the most esteemed names in the industry for a live panel discussion on the skills required in a digital marketing career.

Kelly is a Jobs-Skills Analyst with SkillsFuture Singapore. She is a part of the team that developed the Singapore Skills Frameworks and has experience with analyzing emerging trends, jobs, skills and learning gaps. Prior to SkillsFuture Singapore, she spent over 10 years in the education industry, holding school leadership positions among others.

Kate Mallord, Head of Marketing, LinkedIn Learning

Kate is a formally trained, award-winning journalist who has written and edited content for some of the world’s most esteemed publishers. She is currently leading the content strategy team and the Employee Resource Group Women@LinkedIn for LinkedIn in APAC. Prior to LinkedIn, Kate has also been commissioned to work on content campaigns, strategy and editorial overhauls for many global brands.

David Fallarme, Head of Marketing, HubSpot

David currently leads marketing for HubSpot in Asia. He specializes in demand generation, lead gen, content marketing, and driving scale acquisition through top-of-funnel activities. Prior to HubSpot, he has led marketing teams for companies ranging from public companies to startup companies. He has over 10 years of experience in driving growth and acquisition for products with millions of users and led marketing functions at several SaaS businesses.

Eugene Chua, Global Digital Marketing Head, Secretlab

Eugene is the Global Digital Marketing Head for Secretlab, a Singapore-owned company that has successfully used digital marketing to go global. Eugene specializes in performance marketing and digital and social marketing analytics. Prior to Secretlab, he has a track record across several industries including fintech, property, FMCG, e-commerce, F&B and consumer goods.
